About our Team

Mission Statement

Through sports and competition, Wolverine Aquatics Club's mission is to create a healthy learning environment that inspires confidence and promotes growth of all athletes, coaches, and parents.

Emphasis

The emphasis is on stroke development, technique, conditioning, goal-setting, physical fitness and race strategies. Our professional and experienced coaches motivate all athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. We are a United States Swimming (USAS) team and all members must become USAS upon joining. There are several USAS sanctioned meets per year that the team will train for and members are encouraged to attend.

Our Coaches

Our professional coaches motivate all WAC athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. Our coaching staff includes: Chris Breitbart, Kainoa Pistorius, Steve Skidmore, Summer Treadwell, Alex Shibata, Daniel Ilin and Amy Breitbart.

Location

All practices are held at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. [map] . Park in "Lot J".

Swim Meets

There will be approximately one local USA Swimming sanctioned meet per month that the team will train for and swimmers will be encouraged to enter. Meet participants are responsible for all meet fees, travel costs, and arrangements (unless the meet is Team Travel). WAC coaches attend all swim meets on our Team Calendar.

Membership

We operate on a quarterly system.  Our members pay quarterly dues, instead of monthly dues.  If you join mid-quarter, your registration fee will be pro-rated accordingly.

  • Spring:        March-May
  • Summer:    June-August
  • Fall:             September-November
  • Winter:       December-February

Additional Fees

All WAC swimmers must become members of USA Swimming upon joining. To become a USA Swimming member, you may register at the pool or online at:  http://swim-smarter.com.  This is a separate fee.
